Why We Chose Central Texas

For Bad Penny Studios, choosing Central Texas was intentional. We believe strong stories do not have to come from traditional film hubs to be powerful. Some of the most compelling settings are found in places that feel real, grounded, and underrepresented.

We also have direct access to more than 1,500 acres of ranch land, giving productions room to create without the limits of crowded locations or inflated costs. Through our local ties and community relationships, we are able to help connect the right people, places, and resources to make projects happen efficiently and affordably.
